"The Laughing Heart" by Charles Bukowski

I believe that "The Laughing Heart," by Bukowski has a lot to do with depression. I feel like this poem is directed to anyone who is struggling through depression. Bukowski is telling us to overcome that depression because there are better things in life than spending it miserably. Life is to short to be spending it sad. We need to give ourselves a chance to enjoy what we have around us. We have to express our inner voices. That is what I got from this poem.
