1. What truth does GATSBY tell Nick?
- The truth that GATSBY tells Nick is to not believe what others say about him because there has been various rumors about him. He also tells him about his past life, how he traveled and how he went to school at Oxford and finally he informs him that he came from a rich family that is now all dead. Finally he tells him that Jordan will tell him a truth about him regarding his past later when they have tea.
2. What truth does Jordan tell Nick?
- The truth that Jordan tells Nick is that when Daisy was younger she had a thing with GATSBY and it was such a beautiful relationship because he would look at her the way any girl would want to be looked at. She also tells him that they were going to get married but they did not and GATSBY ended up going to the war and Daisy ended up getting married to Tom Buchanan. Now GATSBY has come back and he wants to talk to Daisy again.
- In my opinion I think that they are both saying the truth because that would explain why GATSBY was awkward when Nick introduced him to Tom Buchanan, as if GATSBY already knew who he was and that he was together with Daisy.
