GATSBY CHAPTER 4

1. What truth does GATSBY tell Nick?
- The truth that GATSBY tells Nick is to not believe what others say about him because there has been various rumors about him. He also tells him about his past life, how he traveled and how he went to school at Oxford and finally he informs him that he came from a rich family that is now all dead. Finally he tells him that Jordan will tell him a truth about him regarding his past later when they have tea.

2. What truth does Jordan tell Nick?
- The truth that Jordan tells Nick is that when Daisy was younger she had a thing with GATSBY and it was such a beautiful relationship because he would look at her the way any girl would want to be looked at. She also tells him that they were going to get married but they did not and GATSBY ended up going to the war and Daisy ended up getting married to Tom Buchanan. Now GATSBY has come back and he wants to talk to Daisy again.

- In my opinion I think that they are both saying the truth because that would explain why GATSBY was awkward when Nick introduced him to Tom Buchanan, as if GATSBY already knew who he was and that he was together with Daisy.

GATSBY CH 3 REMIX

“I’m who you're looking for,” he said suddenly.
“What!” I exclaimed. “Oh, I beg your pardon.”
“I thought you knew,I’m afraid you'll have to come to this room with me.”
He stared at me thoughtfully  — much more than thoughtfully . It was one of those rare looks with a quality of eternal death in it, that you may come across once in life. It faced — or seemed to face — the whole external death world for an instant, and then concentrated on you with an irresistible feeling of fear.
