MUSIC AS LITERATURE

I believe that we can consider music to be literature because it is a type of writing that is just expressed in a different way. We can definitely consider music literature because the lyrics put into music is imaginative and creative. It is also a form of writing that is recognized and that has artistic value all around the world. Paul Simon's was able to connect with a different culture and that is what writing does. It connects us with people all around the world and their thoughts and feelings. He created something new by collaborating and experiencing African American life and culture. Music is the same thing as reading and writing but just in a different way, everything single song has a meaning behind it just like writing does. sWe use theme, tone, etc in both music and writing. Lastly I would say that a novel, a poem, a rap, a song, an opera, and  a symphony really have no difference. They all express something to someone, people may not always think the same way towards it but they all see their own meaning and it speaks to them somehow. The beautiful thing about it is that we seek from others and learn from them and that is what makes us great and the world great! (:
